New winged sprint class to debut at two N.Nevada tracks in 2009
N. Nevada will see the return of winged openwheel racing on a weekly basis in 2009, as both Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon , and the new Lovelock Speedway in Lovelock , have aligned together  to form a new sprint car class. The two tracks have alternated their race dates between each other, giving the drivers of ALL the racing classes the opportunity to chase both track championships if so desired.  This is great news for racer's and fans alike,  and with the huge success  and excitement of sprint car racing in N. California and on the West Coast, it should prove to be a popular and successful class here also. The cars are basically spec sprints with wings,  which are a carbureted only sprint car that can use either methanol or racing gas for fuel, and uses a factory oem iron block and heads, with limitations on the internals, to keep the motor costs down, and longevity and reliability up. For a complete set of rules, and more info on this exciting new class, please visit BOTH of the tracks websites at:                                                                                                          and   rattlesnakeraceway.org

Lovelock speedway to debut new "Supermodified "class in 2009
An exciting new class debuting this year at Lovelock Speedway are the supermodifieds. Designed to be an economical and cost effective openwheel class, the supermods are geared to be a stepping stone division into the IMCA mods and the new winged sprint class that will be debuting at both Lovelock and  Rattlesnake Raceway.  Nostalgic and vintage supermods are the intention of this class, bringing back the look of the supers  from the 60's-70's , complete with banana wings! This should surely make them a fan favorite , and has already drawn interest from car owners of the past. For more info and rules visit :          lovelockspeedway.com
